Donald Trump, terminating the Constitution, and the 2020 election

Most politicians do not manage their own social media, and Donald Trump is a case study as to why that is. Trump mouths off without thinking far too often. There is no filter between his brain and his mouth. He would be much better off if he would stay away from social media - or at least have someone else manage his account so his message is more curated and disciplined. But Trump thinks he is always the smartest person in the room, so he will never agree to this.
As it is, the former (and possibly future) leader of the free world should not be fulminating on social media. It is unprofessional, it is childish, and it damages both him and his political allies. It was even worse when he was in office, because of the political instability caused by the President of these United States angrily ranting at whatever bee was in his bonnet that day. With that, here is the former President

So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great “Founders” did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!
Just from a strategic standpoint, this is inexcusable. Trump had a scandal fall into his lap that he could have leveraged to his own advantage. Instead of doing that, he starts angrily ranting and makes an alarming statement about terminating parts of the Constitution. This allows the media to completely ignore the Twitter scandal and focus all of the attention on Trump's silly "Truth Social" post. Trump has even alarmed many Republicans, and elected officials have started to keep him at arm's length. And this was after a Big Tech / news media / Deep State scandal that should have been a benefit, not a drawback. Unfortunately for President Leroy Jenkins, he is unable to get out of his own way.
Twitter's censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story was certainly bad. It was dishonest, it was hypocritical, and it was a misuse of the platform to suppress actual news for partisan ends. But that does not mean the election itself was fraudulent, any more than Russian trolls posting memes in 2016 caused that election to be fraudulent. Republicans have
always had the media against us, and despite the big platforms like Facebook and Twitter in the pocket of the Democratic Party, the field is more level than it has ever been in American history with all of the other ways to get information to the public.
Furthermore, the information was out there. It was on Gab, it was on other alternative platforms, and it was on conservative websites. It could be spread via email, text, direct messages and alternative social media. But even if the laptop scandal had gotten the kind of coverage Trump and others believe was justified, it would not have changed the results of the election. People were not changing their votes on the incumbent President based on that.
In addition,
it has been two years since Trump was defeated. If Trump took office today, what does that mean for the last two years of the Biden presidency? Does every executive order, every enforcement action, every regulatory action and every law passed by Congress become null and void? Does all of the money spent need to be given back, and all taxes collected refunded? Logistically, how do you reverse an election that happened two years ago, halfway through the term of the "illegitimate" President?
Trump is not thinking about any of this. He is a brittle, effeminate man who sees himself as a perpetual victim - the exact thing that conservatives have been mocking for decades and are still mocking in memes about "snowflake" activists on the Left. The only thing Trump sees is that he was treated "unfairly," and has been perpetually whining for two years over the "unfair" treatment of him. He is desperate for validation, and will never stop whining about it.
It is true that Trump said we should terminate election rules to declare him the "rightful winner," including the rules in the Constitution. The "anti-anti-Trump" folks are correct that this does not mean terminating the entire Constitution. However, if Trump is willing to throw out parts of the Constitution, what makes you think any other part of the Constitution is safe? He clearly believes the Constitution is secondary to his own political interests and "fairness." There is simply no way to intellectually defend Trump's unhinged rant while maintaining respect for the rule of law.
Can Trump be trusted to serve as President of these United States? Back in 2016, I said the answer was a clear "no" and voted for the Constitution Party candidate. I voted for Trump in 2020 after four years of solid conservative policy, including strengthening due process, removing harmful regulations, cutting taxes and an "America First" foreign policy that - for the first time in my lifetime - was instinctively opposed to starting new wars. Trump also engineered unprecedented Middle East peace deals and Operation Warp Speed alone saved many lives by developing vaccines to protect against severe cases of COVID-19. His character was still a problem, but had to be balanced against a policy record that did not exist in 2016.
However, Trump has become more and more unhinged as a result of losing the 2020 election. These character issues were there before, but his vindictiveness has only gotten worse since then. Trump has moved from bitterness, outbursts of anger, a lack of professionalism and maturity to outright disdain for the rule of law. Trump does not understand that we do not live in a banana republic where someone can just be "installed" as President. Is Trump's character a disqualification for a second term? Should principled conservatives refuse to vote for him in 2024 as a protest against his bizarre behavior? These are questions that, unfortunately, more people need to be asking.
