To the Editor:
A letter to the editor (October 14) takes issue with a statement tying ACORN to brothels. This references a scandal involving the organization's employees being caught on video advising what those employees clearly believed to be a pimp on how to run his operation. More than one branch was caught with this sting operation.
What is most despicable was the ACORN employees conspiring to help the "pimp" force a 13 year old immigrant girl into sexual slavery, especially given the historical vulnerability of immigrants to being forced into prostitution. That the "pimp" was actually an investigative journalist is irrelevant to the despicable behavior of the ACORN employees.
Locally, we have Planned Parenthood, where an employee was caught on video (this time by Live Action Films) attempting to cover up what the employee believed to be the sexual abuse of a 13 year old girl by a 31 year old man.
This leads to the obvious question of how many times ACORN or Planned Parenthood employees have done this sort of thing and not been captured on video. A full investigation by law enforcement is necessary. Furthermore, both ACORN and Planned Parenthood should lose funding from local, state and federal government.
