Is vandalism of SUV's the work of terrorists?

The Indiana Daily Student reports that there has been a rash of vandalism targeting Sport Utility Vehicles around campus. A powdery acidic substance has been thrown on several SUV's, seriously damaging them. The IDS reports that police suspect this could be the work of the Earth Liberation Front, an eco-terrorist group that has conducted a nationwide campaign of terror in the name of "environmentalism".

This would not be the first case of eco-terrorism directed at SUV's. Two years ago, SUV's were vandalized, with the ELF as a suspect. Bloomington is not the only place these terrorists have struck Sport Utility Vehicles, as the ELF claimed responsibility for acts of terrorism in Richmond, Virginia. Three people would later plead guilty for the terrorist acts.

Bloomington has a history of eco-terrorist acts dating back several years. A home under construction was destroyed in January of 2000, and eco-terrorists would later claim credit for the destruction of construction equipment at another site. The ELF's sister organization, the Animal Liberation Front, would claim credit for a firebombing at a poultry distribution plant and the ELF is widely believed to be responsible for the arson at Pedigo Bay.

Who do these people think they are? Do they actually think they have the moral right to attempt to intimidate SUV owners into getting a politically correct car? These people are not vandals, they are terrorists. Given the history of eco-terrorism in Bloomington, local law enforcement must hunt down these terrorists and punish them to the fullest extent of the law. We must make it clear that the ELF/ALF axis of evil is not welcome in Bloomington.
